Close to home for sure. Nice sales on many levels and helps with a savings card and coupons. Staff and management are very friendly and if they are not sure on the question you asked, they will definitely do their best to check. Produce especially a lot to choose from in the store. Not use to seeing that coming from California.
Would have given minus stars if available. Steer clear of this store, they are always out of the essentials, like milk and eggs. Their dairy department has not been thoroughly cleaned for many years and the meat department just plain stinks. Guess their main focus is booze and it the highest priced in the area. Be careful what you purchase, produce is a very hit and miss. The remodel made the store look dirty and dingy, why such a dark floor? There is not enough light, grocery stores should be bright and cheery. This one is dark and dingy. The manager is always sorry about everything but nothing ever improves. Maybe a good move would be to close it , clean it and hire management that knows how to hire. Wield colored hair, tattoos and piercing do not make very appealing employees that are handling food.
Too many times I have gone in and left without what I needed. The produce is sub par on a good day. I consistently see slimy brown mushrooms and bruised vegetables. Simple truth brand items tend to be out of stock. I make it a rule to steer clear of the meat department.
The time there was great. I had a large deli order and the girl was very sweet. She sliced a lot of things for my order and was very quick about it even though she said she was new. Tia in cheese was friendly as well. Helped me get the right cheese for what I was planning to fix. Tammi in meat and seafood was a hoot. I just had to take a couple pounds of shrimp off her hands. Assistant store manager Dean was very friendly as well. Chatted with him for a bit. Finally headed to the check out and the young man was very friendly and quick. We had a very large order but between him and the young girl that was sacking they did great. It was lane 11. It was very good to get back to shopping and I will always do it here at bakers.
I showed up at almost midnight and even throughout the stocking, a friendly associate, Nathan came and helped me find the Pumpkin Pie Pop tarts I have been searching for even though it was half a store away from what he was working on and he could have just verbally directed me towards them. After a long day at work, this simple act of customer care made my night. Keep it up!
